Oakcrest Kennel
was established in 1988.
Howard Huber grew up
at dog shows where
his mother's boxers,
under the How-Curt
prefix, were guided
by the likes of Jane
Forsythe. Thus,
Howard’s
interest in
exhibiting quality
dogs began at a very
early age.
Howard and Heidi began
their steady climb
working out of
Dover, Delaware,
with their three sons Howie, Erik and Jon.
In 2001, after
Howard had given the
United States Air
Force twenty years
of service, he
retired and moved
the entire Oakcrest
operation to Oxford,
Pennsylvania.
Among
the many
personalized touches
that the Huber’s
family run handling
kennel sports is the
following:
- 29
spacious indoor-outdoor
runs
- Full
grooming
facilities
- Fully
heated and
air
conditioned
Dogs
are never left
unattended. Someone is always on the premises or dogs are on the road with Howard, being shown and/or
trained.
Oakcrest
is a show kennel.
There is no pet
grooming or boarding
offered. Oakcrest
has won multiple
Best-In-Show awards
as well as having
multiple Specialty
Best-of-Breeds to it’s
merit. Scores of
dogs are finished to
their show
championship titles
annually.
Howard
Huber is assisted by Miss Kendra
Jeffrey. Dogs
are rarely, if ever,
handed off to a
professional that
the dog is
unfamiliar with.
Should
you think your dog
is of show quality
and have interest in
having your dog
evaluated, an
appointment is
required.
